Parents/Carers' Consultation Evening is scheduled for Thursday 2nd December. The appointments will be online (or can be arranged to take place by telephone). Mental Health Champions
Do you want to create positive change for student mental health?
Year 1 Students: APPLY NOW!
The College is looking to recruit 10-12 Mental Health Champions who will work with YMCA Right Here & Public Health Schools Teams on a 'student-led action' to promote positive mental health within the College.
You must be willing to participate in a (virtual) launch event in November, attend half-termly face to face workshops, work with the other Champions throughout the year and present your outcomes at a city-wide celebration event in July 2022. The project promotes and supports inclusion, equality and diversity.

Feminist Society
This year's feminist society is up and running and we'll have a range of debates and conversations throughout the year.
Our amazing team Miri Figari and Jacob Foster are creating some amazing resources for all of you young feminists to enjoy. We are hoping to highlight some of the inequalities in our society and are starting off in Black History month by looking at the impact of black feminism.

POST-COLLEGE INFO
Over 3 virtual workshop attendees will explore storyboarding, animation, and filmmaking with Senior Lecturer Katarina Sengstaken. At the end of this course, they will have created new work showcasing a range of skills and media, that can be used to show off creativity and to complement existing work, when applying to university.
No specialist equipment is required; the idea is to recycle, upcycle and repurpose materials and using everyday packaging that can be found around the home. A suggested equipment list each week will be sent out in advance.

Interested in a BrightStart apprenticeship? Join us at the next hour-long webinar on November 10th from 4-5pm. Designed for students, career leaders/teachers and parents, the session will inform and demystify apprenticeships and showcase the opportunities available at Deloitte. You'll have the chance to hear from and put questions to representatives from across Deloitte including current and former Apprentices.
