COLLEGE UPDATES

The UK Supreme Court writing competition

The UK Supreme Court writing competition is a great way for those with a keen interest in law and the UK justice system to get involved and put their skills of persuasion to the test.

Students in year 12 or 13 in England and Wales, S5 or S6 in Scotland and Year 13 or 14 in Northern Ireland are eligible to apply for this fantastic opportunity and the chance to meet a Supreme Court Justice.

This competition is a unique opportunity to build research skills, learn more about law in the UK and looks great on UCAS forms too!

All entrants receive individual feedback from our Judicial Assistants, with the final winner being chosen by a Supreme Court Justice. The winner also gets to spend a day with us at Court, (depending on the situation with COVID-19).

The competition will open on Wednesday 18th November with a deadline of Monday 8th February 2021.

Prizes are:

  • First place: ÂŁ100 Book Voucher, spend a day at the Supreme Court and have tea with a Justice (depending on the situation with COVID-19)

  • Second place: ÂŁ75 Book Voucher.

  • Third place: ÂŁ50 Book Voucher.
