UK University & Apprenticeship Search Fair
Tuesday 8th March (9.30 am – 2.30 pm) at the University of Surrey
The event is free to attend and is for year 12 and 13s but open to anyone interested!
The event will feature a vast array of exhibiting universities, apprenticeship providers, and colleges. It will provide guidance, wherever you are in your decision-making process.
The UK University & Apprenticeship Search fair will feature:
- A multitude of exhibitors including Russell Group, modern institutions and apprenticeship providers.
- An extensive range of seminars including: UCAS personal statement, Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, Life at University and Student Finance.
- Expert advice from university and apprenticeship providers.
- All students will be provided with a free online UK University & Apprenticeship Search Options Online Magazine and many other promotional items around the exhibition.

Nuffield Research Placements (NRPs) are engaging, real-life research or development projects, where talented Year 12 (or equivalent) students are placed at the heart of a UK host organisation.
In 2021, we supported over 1,000 students to begin their placements right across the UK working and collaborating alongside STEM or STEM-related professionals.

The Sutton Trust US Programme 2022
Applications are now being accepted for the Sutton Trust US Programme 2022.
What is it?
The Sutton Trust US Programme helps state school students in the UK to explore higher education and US culture. The programme includes UK-based residentials before all students get to visit US universities in the summer of 2022.
An optional part 2 of the programme supports students to apply to US universities alongside their UCAS options.
How much does it cost?
It is free to take part in the programme. All costs are covered for students including travel, accommodation, food and admissions test preparation.
When is the deadline?
Students must submit their application by midnight on 16 January 2022 to be considered for the programme. However, we encourage getting started as soon as possible as the application form requires some thinking!
Job opportunities
Maximum number of per week should be 10hrs otherwise it will affect your at college!

GROUP STUDY AREA
Thanks to all students who completed our survey about the quiet group study area. In response to your feedback, we will keep this area in place for the rest of the academic year, apart from before and during exams, when the library will be silent study only so students can revise without distractions.

Over the next few weeks we will be promoting lots of great revision resources we have in the library and online to help you prepare for exams. Search the collection for your subject areas or ask the library team for more information.
