LIBRARY NEWS
Half Term Opening Times
The IT Study Suite (Room 27) will be open as a study space and staffed by the library team during the half term holiday week from Tuesday 30 May - Friday 2 June 10am-4pm each day. The library will be closed due to essential maintenance work being carried out.
Revision Guides
Come and see all the brilliant revision resources we have in the library to help you prepare for exams. Available for most subjects, we have textbooks, revision and study guides. Find them in the library and online by searching our collection on the library website. Good luck...you can do it!
Study Skills
We have some really good study and exam skills ebooks containing everything students need to succeed. How to boost your grades, build confidence, improve your writing skills, manage stress, as well as easy-to-follow techniques for achieving your best possible exam performance. Find them on the library website using 'Library Search'.
Revision time
It's exam time for year 2 students, so the library is currently being used for quiet revision. Please be mindful that some students are unable to study at home and find noise very distracting whilst revising in the library. Please keep your conversations to a minimum and do any socialising outside of the library. Thanks for your cooperation!
Specialist software
Are you a visual arts student? CorelDRAW Graphics Suite is excellent software for creating vector illustrations, layouts, photo editing, and typography projects with total efficiency. And the good news is...we now have CorelDRAW on every computer in the library!
Silent study
Being disturbed by noise whilst revising? Have you tried working in our silent study room at the rear of the library? The library can be very busy at times and if you prefer to work in complete silence, you might find this to be a calm and peaceful environment for revision. We also have noise cancelling headphones that can be borrowed from the library help desk.
